Kesoram Rayon, an ISO 14001 & ISO
9002 company has always been conscious towards environment protection. Our environment
policy is aimed towards providing a clean and healthy environment for employees and
neighbours. A multi-pronged strategy has been adopted to achieve this.
- State of art pollution control facilities for all
installations.
- Pollution abatements measures in existing plants.
- Phasing out obsolete technology.
- Reduction of wastes and conservation of water, raw material
and energy.
To ensure the environment free of water
pollution, the Company treats effluents in its modern effluent treatment plant. Similarly
to check air pollution, Electrostatic Precipitators, scrubbers, Neutralisers and other
controlling equipment have been installed.
Research & Development
(R&D)
Working through R&D has been a way of
life in Kesoram Rayon. The R&D division has planned and worked for improvement and
modernisation of production processes and has also undertaken testing of various new
materials for development. The division is manned by 26 qualified chemical engineers,
scientists & technologies with years of experience in the field of textile industry.
The company has registered its brand name
"KESORAM RAYON" and "KESOPHANE" with the symbol under which it markets
its Viscose Filament Rayon Yarn and Transparent Paper, respectively.
Energy Conservation
Our efforts and
achievments towards Energy Management Programme have been recognised by
the Government of India. We have
been receiving National Energy Conservation Awards for the last 7 consecutive years since
1995 including the EXCELLENCE AWARD for the year 2001 for getting Special Prize for three
consecutive times. With this, the unit has earned the unique distinction of becoming the
only unit in India of winning the Excellence Award in the history of National Energy
Conservation Award Scheme.The Company has also received the Indian Chemical Manufacturers
Association Award for Excellence in Energy Conservation and Management for the year 1997.
