Kesoram Rayon is one of the major manufacturers of VISCOSE / RAYON FILAMENT YARN (VFY) in India. VFY is CELLULOSIC MAN-MADE FIBRE, which is produced from natural resource i.e. Rayon grade Wood Pulp. The use of the same is very wide including Fabric manufacturing (both woven and knitted), Velvet, Chords, threads and tapes, Gas mantle, etc. The Fabrics made of VFY are both, exported as well as used within the country. It has rich natural shining finish or luster due to which, it is also known as "Art-Silk". VFY is also preferred over some synthetic yarns due to its flexibility, smooth feel, silky finish and hygienic (skin friendly) properties. It is also blended with other yarns / fibres to impart silky finish.

Kesoram Rayon is selling VFY in following modes :

1. CONES
2. HANKS
3. CAKES

90% of total production is in the Cone form and it is the most widely accepted mode by end-users.

Kesoram Rayon is marketing Viscose / Rayon Yarn in following Finish :

1. Bright (Sometimes referred as RAW WHITE by overseas buyers)
2. Dull / Semi Dull / Opaque
3. Snow White
4. Coloured or Dyed

Its Quality and luster is well accepted and preferred by both domestic and overseas customers. KR has a wide range of shades to offer in COLOURED YARN, which is over 100 in number. It has the capacity to produce DYED YARN in any denier and quantity. The Shade Card giving the range of shades to choose from is available on request. All the colours are very well accepted and preferred by several end-users.

The deniers currently in production and marketed by KR are as follows :

40, 75, 100, 120, 150, 180, 225, 300, 355, 450 & 600.

The Yarn is made of several filaments, the number of which is more or less fixed for a particular denier and differs from one spinner to another. The detailed specification chart is attached herewith and can also be offered on request.

The market share of KR is currently around 12% in Domestic market. It is sold through various branch offices all over the country mainly located in prime textile consuming centers like Surat, Mumbai, Bangalore, Varanasi, Panipat, Salem etc.
